Work completed
Full lead bay roof replacement on a period property in Upminster, Essex. The original covering had split and lifted, allowing water to track down behind the brickwork above the bay window. We stripped the failed lead, checked and repaired the timber decking beneath, then dressed new code 5 milled lead over the bay with hand-formed welted seams, clean drip edges and a traditional scalloped lead apron to match the character of the house. Finished with patination oil to prevent staining to the brickwork below — a long-life, fully watertight covering.
