We repaired one complete side of a dormer roof in Hornchurch, reinstating the existing tiles after correcting their gauge and renewing the verge detail. Tiles had slipped and the tile gauge was incorrectly set, so the repair was limited to one side of the dormer. That side was stripped, new verge cloaking was installed and the side was re-battened to the correct tile gauge and spacing. The existing tiles were reinstated and aligned, and the verges were re-bedded in weather-resistant mortar — leaving the dormer side re-battened with its existing tiles back in place, new verge cloaking and re-bedded verges.
